Yup, I went to see Nine (the musical Oscar movie, not the Burton produced digital movie.)
1. I was the youngest in the theater.
2. My grandmother was in between my Mother and me, she fell asleep during it.
3. My Mom turns to me and says "I like the sand effect" during Fergie singing Be Italian,
4. There were a lot of couples...
5. I have no idea how this got rated PG-13 (definitely should be rated R)
6. I kept knowing people's faces but not their name (more annoying than awkward)
7. Fergie is the whore character (enough said)
8. I'm Italian
9. I was afraid we'd get kicked out of the theater because the guy didn't rip my ticket because he was chasing some guy who didn't have a ticket (You're good Moses but not that good. XD)
going to tell you what a lot of people are saying. You think it will get better, but it truly doesn't. The acting is great, and the music too (the music is fabulous I love Be Italian and Cinema Italiano). It's a shame that such a promising cast didn't have that great story line they deserve. It's a very sexy movie, very. This movie is almost has a documentary feel, because it explain Guido Contini's (Daniel Day-Lewis) life through song, and all the women he loved. Plus it bothered me that there were only seven key women in his movie and not nine, but I'll live. I guarantee there will be Oscar buzz for costume (my, oh my that lingerie, besides that the other stuff was great too) and maybe a few other things. Can it be considered for original song because isn't it somewhat a remake? But anyway, the storyline is also small, it's Guido is making a new movie, and then he has no idea what to make it on. That's pretty much what it is, and he running away and facing his problems.
My bottom line: Yea sure go see it in the theaters, the music is great and if you're a fan for someone, go ahead and watch it.
